There is / There are (existencia)

"Use There is with singular nouns and There are with plural nouns to express existence."

La regla

There is + singular, There are + plural. Equivale al "hay" del español.

Para decir que algo existe usamos there is (singular) o there are (plural). NUNCA se usa el verbo have aquí: "hay una reunion" no es "have a meeting" sino "there is a meeting". La forma negativa es there is no / there are no o there isn't / there aren't. Cuidado: "there" (hay / allí) suena igual que "their" (su) pero se escriben distinto.
