Pasado de to be: was / were
La regla
was con I/he/she/it; were con you/we/they. Negacion: wasn't / weren't. Pregunta: Was/Were + sujeto.

To be tiene dos formas en pasado: was y were. Was se usa con I, he, she, it. Were se usa con you, we, they. Para preguntar invertimos: Was/Were + sujeto. Para negar usamos wasn't (was not) o weren't (were not). No hace falta auxiliar do/does en pasado de to be.

Con I se usa was, no were.
You siempre lleva were, aunque sea singular.
Con to be no se usa el auxiliar did. Solo invertimos: Was/Were + sujeto.
Para negar to be en pasado usamos wasn't / weren't, no didn't.
