Question tags (preguntas coletilla)

La regla

Frase afirmativa -> tag negativo; frase negativa -> tag afirmativo. Usa el mismo auxiliar.

"Positive statement -> negative tag; negative statement -> positive tag. Use the same auxiliary."

Las question tags son la pequeña pregunta al final de una frase para confirmar info o pedir acuerdo ("verdad?", "no?"). La regla principal: sí la frase es afirmativa, el tag es negativo ("You're tired, aren't you?"); sí es negativa, el tag es afirmativo ("He doesn't work here, does he?"). El auxiliar del tag es el mismo de la frase principal (am/is/are, do/does/did, have/has/had, will, can...). Sí la frase no tiene auxiliar, usa do/does/did. Tono: subiendo sí es pregunta real, bajando sí esperas confirmacion.

Ejemplos

You're tired, aren't you?

Estas cansado, no?

💡 Afirmativa -> tag negativo.

He doesn't work here, does he?

El no trabaja aquí, verdad?

💡 Negativa -> tag afirmativo.

Marta reviewed the PR, didn't she?

Marta reviso el PR, no?

💡 Excepcion: I am -> aren't I.

El tag debe coincidir con el sujeto y el auxiliar de la frase.

Sí la frase es negativa, el tag es afirmativo (sin n't).

"Amn't" no existe. Excepcion: I am -> aren't I.

El tag usa pronombre sujeto (she), no objeto (her).
