Pronombres + verbo to be

La regla

I am, you are, he/she/it is, we are, you are, they are. Las contracciones son habituales.

"I am, you are, he/she/it is, we are, you are, they are. Contractions are common."

El verbo "to be" cambia segun el sujeto: I am, you are, he/she/it is, we are, you are, they are. En conversacion casi siempre se contrae: I'm, you're, he's, she's, it's, we're, they're. Con profesiones es OBLIGATORIO el artículo a/an: "He is an engineer", no "He is engineer". Esto es muy distinto del español, donde decimos "Es ingeniero" sin artículo. La forma negativa anade not: "I am not / I'm not", "she isn't", "they aren't".

💡 Contraccion she's = she is.

💡 OJO: an engineer, no "engineer" solo.

It's a remote job.

Es un trabajo en remoto.

I'm not late, the meeting starts at 10.

No llego tarde, la reunion es a las 10.

Las profesiones SIEMPRE llevan a/an en inglés.

Profesion: necesita a/an. Aquí "an" porque intern empieza por vocal.

She are my manager.She is my manager.

Tercera persona singular: is, no are.

We is from Spain.We are from Spain.

Con we siempre se usa are.

He no is in the office today.He isn't in the office today.

Negativo: is + not (isn't), no "no is".
