Presente simple vs continuó

"Simple = habit or fact. Continuous = now or temporary."

La regla

Simple = habito o hecho permanente. Continuous = ahora o temporal.

El presente simple expresa rutinas ("I work at Nexora") y verdades generales ("Water boils at 100"). El continuó expresa lo que pasa ahora ("I'm writing") o algo temporal ("I'm working from home this week"). Algunos verbos llamados stative (know, like, want, need, believe, understand, love) NO se usan en continuous porque describen estados, no acciones. "I am knowing" es incorrecto; lo correcto es "I know".

Ejemplos

I work at Nexora.

Trabajo en Nexora.

💡 Hecho permanente -> simple.

I'm working from home today.

Hoy trabajo desde casa.

💡 Temporal -> continuous.

She drinks coffee every morning.

Ella toma cafe todas las mananas.

She is drinking coffee right now.

Ella está tomando cafe ahora mismo.

I know the answer.

Se la respuesta.

💡 Stative -> nunca continuous.

Do you understand the brief?

Entiendes el brief?

We are launching the feature this week.

Lanzamos la feature está semana.

Acciones ahora o temporales -> continuousam/is/are + verb-ing

know es stative: nunca en continuous.

I am wanting a coffee.I want a coffee.

want es stative: usa simple.

I work now on the bug.I'm working on the bug now.

Para AHORA usa continuous, no simple.

She is liking her new team.She likes her new team.

like es stative: simple.
